Note: The above bridge was not really built by the Romans. However, it was built on the site of a Roman Bridge, and a lower bridge serves the community in the valley. At one time, several years ago, there was a restaurant in the bridge, the dinung room being in the center part of the bridge at the point just above the center arch. The dining room was set up in what used to be a prison. The only way out of the prison room was to have a rope lowered into the room from the road above. Of course, in the present day, a passage was built into the prison room for the diners.
